We want you and your children to have a great experience with dentistry and orthodontics. When you walk into our practice, we will make sure you feel comfortable, relaxed and happy about creating a more beautiful smile. We maintain a fun and friendly atmosphere here!

The following programs and games will help you and your child have the most enjoyable experience possible during all phases of treatment.

Brace Bucks Game

A Fun Rewards Program for our Patients with Good Cooperation

  • Earn 1 Brace Buck for every visit to our office – The patient must be on time, keep their teeth and gums clean, be careful with what they eat and be sure to wear their elastics and retainers.
  • Earn 1 Brace Buck for every visit when you wear your Southern Ocean Orthodontics T-Shirt to our office on the date of your appointment.
  • Earn 1 Brace Buck every time you get at least 1 good grade on your report card. (Be sure to bring your report card)
  • Earn 3 Brace Bucks if you get all A’s on your report card.
  • Earn 15 Brace Bucks for each friend or family member you refer to us for an orthodontic consultation.
Each Brace Buck is equal to one dollar. Brace Bucks will allow you to earn gift cards and gift certificates to many brand name stores.

Personalize Your Bands

Have a little fun with your braces by personalizing the color of the bands around your brackets.

Choose any color bands on the color wheel (or combination) to match the season or holiday, your favorite sports team, your favorite color, or even your outfit. 

Change colors with every visit if you like or stick with clear bands...it's totally up to you!
And every patient get their own customized "BRACED-LETS" bracelet the day they get their braces on. Choose whatever color you like, or match the colors of your BRACED-LETS with the colors of the bands around your brackets!

Community Outreach

Fun and Educational Outreach Programs

We always welcome Scout Troops and their parents for a dinner and a learning experience. Dr. Butler loves to teach children all about how much fun and exciting getting braces at Southern Ocean Orthodontics can be. 

This is truly a hands-on experience as Dr. Butler will first pass around stuffed animals with braces and the color wheel as he explains how the different parts of the braces work. During this time the group will discuss how to properly brush and clean their teeth as well as understand why they should always avoid certain sweet treats. 

Next, each scout will get a chance to pretend to be both an orthodontist and a patient and will sit in an actual dental chair. The group will get to play with the materials we use to make molds as Dr. Butler will take an impression on a make believe patient. Finally we’ll end the night with some fun photos and enjoy eating pizza while telling some jokes and having fun. Our patch is truly one every troop would love to earn!
